We are on the threshold of yet another milestone in the progress of SYMBIOSIS. The Symbiosis College of Nursing has recently been established under the Faculty of Health Sciences - Symbiosis International University.

Under the aegis of the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences has been conducting programmes in various fields of health care delivery systems over the years and has earned an enviable name as a training institute of impeccable excellence.

We have now been permitted by the Indian Nursing Council to start the B.Sc. Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programmes. Nursing professionals today have unlimited opportunities in the hospitals, communities, research and health development programmes in the country as well as overseas.

With the increase in the literacy rate and per capita income, our affluent and burgeoning middle class have become health conscious. Health care industry in our country has grown by 13% in the last decade. This understandably has led to the emergence of a large number of state-of-the-art medical establishments, opening up a large vista of opportunities for health care providers including the Nursing Professionals.

I am sure the Symbiosis College of Nursing with its excellent infrastructure, highly qualified faculty and modern equipment will harness your potential and help you to become a vital link in the health care sector

Dean's Message

Welcome to the Faculty of Health Sciences of Symbiosis International University (SIU). Symbiosis College of Nursing (SCON) is a valuable addition to the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The phenomenal technological development in health care demands a highly skilled nurse who is still very humane and caring.

Today, nursing has developed many specializations to keep pace with specialization and research in medical science. Skills in management and communication have also become very relevant for nurses in community, healthcare, hospital management and research.

At Symbiosis, our aim is to provide a 'value based' and 'value added' nursing training so that our graduates get a firm base for fast track growth in diverse fields of health care.

We look forward to a fruitful association with our students.
