| Eligibility Criteria : |
1) Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognised by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
2) Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
- O.T. Techniques - Ophthalmic Nursing
- Leprosy Nursing - T.B Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing - Community Health Nursing
- Cancer Nursing - Orthopaedic Nursing
- Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing
3) Candidates shall be medically fit. |
| Selection Processors : |
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination followed by a personal interview. |

| Teaching Methodology : |
The programme is divided into theory and clinical blocks
Theory blocks: During this period, the student is expected to attend classes in the college or clinical campus as per the rotation plan. The theory portion will be covered in the form of lectures, lectures cum demonstration, seminars etc.
Clinical blocks: During this period, the student will be posted in the hospital wards, community setup or any other area approved for experience. The student will be expected to provide care to the individuals or families and complete assignments as outlined in the curriculum. |
| Examination Pattern : |
Periodic evaluations will be conducted as part of internal assessments. Examinations will be conducted at the end of each year. There will be theory as well as practical components to the examination. |
| Standard of Passing : |
50% in each head of passing. Theory and Practicals / Viva will be separate heads of passing. |
| Award of Degree/Diploma : |
The Symbiosis International University (SIU) will award the degree / diploma to all successful candidates during the convocation. A detailed mark sheet will also be issued to each student. |
